He was predeceased by: his father Herman; his wife Louanna (Moore); his brother Glenn Shepherd (Kate); and his sisters-in-law, Helen Kieser (Leonard) and Betty Albee (Dave).
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Shepherd (Nancy), Mark Shepherd (Suzanne), Brian Shepherd (Kerry) and Karen Sybert (Curtis); his grandchildren, Matthew Shepherd, Jennifer Brown (Aaron), Chelsea Rohr (Tyler), Natalie Wilhite, Ciara Beil (Andrew), Tiffany Arnold (Casey), Nick Wilhite, Nate Stapleton (Sarah), Casey Shepherd and Leo Shepherd; his great grandchildren, Averi, Maddie, Noah, Parker, Amelia, Mack, Oliver, Bode and Charlotte; and his close friends, Jerry Acord, Esther Correll, Lloyd Duke and Connie Fankhauser.
The family suggest memorial contributions to Brookdale Presbyterian Church.
