She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Whitaker and Betty Whitaker (Hamilton); her brother-in-law Robert Brazzell; and her sisters, Donna Starmer and Janet Terhune.
She is survived by: her husband Elbert "Eb" Carter; her siblings, Norma Brazzell, Robert Whitaker and Roger Whitaker; and her granddaughter Tasha Kirschner (Austin). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
