He is survived by: his wife Karen Akers (Price) of St. Joseph; his children, Rick Akers (Sheryl), Roger Akers (Tammy) and Julie McFarland (David); his grandchildren, Ryan Akers, Kevin Akers (Miranda), Tara Dohrmann (James), Jonathan Akers, Samuel Akers (Anna), Alison Dorrell (J. J.), Julia Prentice (Aaron), Laura Akers, Mark McFarland (Meredith) and Sarah McFarland; and his great grandchildren, Payton Akers, Natalie Akers, Sierra Akers, Isaiah Akers, Meier Dohrmann, Beckett Dohrmann, Easton Dohrmann, Hudson Dohrmann, Phoenix Akers, Harrison Akers, Ellis Akers, Henry Akers and Elijah Prentice.
