He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth G. Smith and Flora "Florene" C. Smith (Smoot); his brother Jerry Smith; and his brother-in-law Vince Mueller. He is survived by: his wife Monica Gall-Smith; his siblings, Jim Smith (Diane), Mary Hill (Randall), Phyllis Mueller and Roger Smith (Debbie); and his sister-in-law Patty Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
