With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Jane Woody of Saint Joseph, Missouri, born in Salisbury, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2024 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilner Zahner and David Zahner; her husband James Woody; and her siblings, Margaret Jean Zahner, Jerry Zahner, Jewell "Ray" Zahner and James Zahner.
She is survived by: her children, James Woody Jr. (Barbie) of Abilene, KS, Daniel Woody of St. Joseph and Amanda Daly (Todd) of St. Joseph; and her sisters, Patricia Bish of Kansas City, MO and Lula Jones (Norman). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (6054 Pryor Ave, St Joseph, MO 64504). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hope Fellowship Church (2606 Sycamore Ct, St Joseph, MO 64503). The inurnment was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ashland Cemetery (2324 Ashland Ave, St Joseph, MO 64506).
