She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Seifert and Edna Seifert (Thompson); her husbands, Vernon Colwell and Rodney Shell; and her siblings, Wib Seifert and Nancy Simmons (Seifert).
She is survived by: her brother Bob Seifert (Eunice); her children, Nena Colwell, Connie Colwell, Lee Colwell of Denver, CO and Tim Colwell (Amy); her granddaughters, Heidi Surritt (Tom), Courtney Colwell of Denver, CO, Marissa Reinicke (Ben) of Denver, CO and Lyla Colwell; and her great grandchild Drake Surritt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel (3609 Frederick Ave, St Joseph, MO 64506).
In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's.
