He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Matt and Gertrude Matt (Schellhorn); his brother Charles Matt; his brother-in-law Bill Strain; his nephews, Zac Strain and Chance Phillips; his sister-in-law Linda Halamar; and his mother-in-law Emma Halamar.
He is survived by: his significant other Andy Halamar; his siblings, Salli Strain and Mike Matt (Debbie); his siblings-in-law, Heide Phillips (Richard) and Frank Halamar (DeAnna); his nieces and nephews, Nicole Snook (Doug), Samantha Atkins (Jared), Maitland Phillips, Heather Huston (Dan), Niki Dickens (Eric), Wyatt Phillips and A. J. Halamar (Joann); his great-nieces, Ruby Snook, Brooklyn, Taylor Dickens and Salacia Loe; and his great-nephew Bacchus Loe.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Heaton-Bowman Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel to help offset the cost of a cemetery marker.
