He was predeceased by: his parents, Goldie Herring and Joe Herring; his siblings, George Herring, Rosie Bryson and Betty Wells; and his granddaughter Lauren Pauly.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Herring; and his children, Tori Smith (Bill Stout) of Salina, KS, David Herring (Suzie) of Kansas City, MO, Scott Herring of Kansas City, MO, Lyndsay Bennett (Shon) of St. Joseph, MO and Harli Melton of St. Joseph, MO. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews.
