She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Wayne and Patricia Gay Merritt (Nolan); and her husband Walter L. Prewitt. She is survived by: her daughters, Misty Whetstine of St. Augustine, FL, Angi Payne of Harrisonville, MO and Jami Payne (Reed); her son-in-law Logan Reed of Bozeman, MT; her grandchildren, Brittani Murphy, Audrey McQuade, Tristin Whetstine, Morgann Whetstine, Trenton Whetstine, Liberty Hill and Nolan Payne; her great grandchildren, Lucian Whetstine and Elias Prewitt; and her siblings, Jody Harrison, Linda Steele, Susan Keller, Junior Merritt and Cameron Merritt. She is also survived by many other cousins, second cousins, bonus children and grandchildren.
