He is survived by: his wife Juanita Thompson; his children, Chad Thompson (Stefanie) and Jennifer Leonard (Moses); his siblings, Anne Roseberry (Roger), Patrick Thompson of Kansas City, MO. and Mark Thompson (Bobby) of Plano, TX; his grandchildren, Anthony, Stevie (Matt), Heather (Colton), Julius Thompson, Kody Conner, Rylea Evans (Barry), Irelyn and Piper Leonard; his great grandchildren, Remedy, Tessa, Camryn, Zavarie Thompson, Markie Scott, Sergio Calvin, Riott Wells, Lakelan and Cypress Evans; and his name sake John M. Thompson.
