He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, David Turnbull (Julie) and Denise Staudt; and his sister Geraldine Gillett. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
