She was predeceased by: her mother Goldie Huss; her husband Thomas Thornton; her son Larry Thornton; her siblings, Warren Huss and Judy Lard; her grandson Jason Thornton; and her great grandchild Maylee DeSpain.
She is survived by: her children, Gay Monach of St. Joseph and Scott Thornton of St. Joseph; and her brother Roger Huss (Carla) of Amazonia. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (6054 Pryor Ave, St Joseph, MO 64504). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are requested to the Hillcrest Bible Church.
