She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmitt Cain and Ada Mae Cain; her husband Edward M. Adkins (Sam); her son Stephen Adkins; and her great grandchild Bradon Krull.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky M. Adkins of St. Joseph, Cheryl Adkins Bullock (Rick Alley) of St. Joseph, Deborah Ellis (Alvan) of St. Joseph and Theresa Montgomery (Paul) of St. Joseph. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a beloved cat.
