With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Charles Steele of Saint Joseph, Missouri, who passed away on January 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred E. and Mary E. Steele (Farris); and his brother Alfred Steele. He is survived by: his wife Vivian J. Steele (Judy) of Rushville, Missouri.; his children, Kathleen J. Lutz of Derby, Michael, Ramona Steele of Saint Joseph, Doug and Nicole Steele of Cosby, Missouri; his grandchildren, TJ Lutz, Eric Lutz, Megan Steele, Collin Steele, Nicolas Steele, Mitchell Steele, Nori Steele and Larra Steele; his sister Laveta Pierce; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Steele, Mary Shuck, Nancy Browning, Jane Browning and Bob Browning. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association in Don's honor.
