It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dixie K. Derr of Saint Joseph, Missouri, born in Union Star, Missouri, who passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Loren Allen and Dorothy Ferne Allen (Campbell); her sister Alice; her brother-in-law Martin Barker; her brother Clifford; and her sister-in-law Connie Allen.

She is survived by: her husband George Warner Derr (G. W.); her children, Brad and Bridgit Derr Patterson of Liberty, Missouri; her grandchildren, Garrett Derr (Rebecca) of Oregon, Missouri, Cutler Derr (Karley) of Oregon, Missouri, Micaela Patterson and Colby Patterson of Liberty, Missouri; her siblings, Donna Slaybaugh of Kansas City, Missouri, Richard (Sharron Allen) of Tennessee, Drs Marcia (Dennis Hansen) of Wisconsin and Ron (Tracy Allen) of Oregon, Missouri; and also McCormick Derr of Oregon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas, or the First Baptist Church.
