She is survived by: her children, Verla Shaw Thornton, Melodie Shaw Snetsinger, Nathanial Shaw, Kyle Scoggins, Rodney Joe Scoggins Jr. and Alicia Henderson; and her sister Janette Packard. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
