He is survived by: his children, Christopher Gilkey (Maureen) and Christine Maciolek (Gilkey) (Michael); his grandchildren, Erin Hendrix (Matt), Ethan Gilkey (Emily), MaryKate Gilkey, Mia Maciolek and Chloe Maciolek; his great grandchildren, Alena Hendrix, Abel Hendrix and Atlas Gilkey; and his sisters, Muriel Jackson, Sheila Roberton and Tina Parton.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a cause that was close to Joe's heart.
