She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil H. Sr. Smith and Jennie M. Smith (Scott); her half-brother Virgil Smith, Jr.; her brother Albert Smith; and her sisters-in-law, Wanda Jo Smith and B. Marie Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Hogan (Donna) and Sue Dickens (Larry); her grandchildren, Jacy Guy (Chris) and Eric Dickens (Niki); and her great grandchildren, Brooklynn Dickens, Skylar Dickens-Guy, Taylor Dickens, Caily and Nolan Guy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Wesley United Methodist Church.
