It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Wilson of Saint Joseph, Missouri, born in Clinton, Missouri, who passed away on September 16, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gilmore and Nannie Gilmore; her stepfather Ivan Clark; her siblings, Mary Herod and Billie Gilmore; her half-brothers, Clayton and Mervin Gilmore; her grandson Michael Wilson; and her great great grandchild Carter Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Gordon W. Wilson, Sr.; her children, Gordon Wilson, Jr. and Barbara Smith; her granddaughters, Jeannie Knowles and Melissa Carstensen; and her great grandchildren, Josh Smith, Shauna Smith, Richard Saunders, Kaitlyn Saunders, Kaleigh Saunders, Drake Stevenson, Trenton Marschel, Kyle Knowles, Brandon Knowles, Ryan Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Julie Robison, Hayden Wilson, Braxon Wilson, Brittany Wilson, Addalyn Robison, Brayden Larabee, Paisley Knowles, Lincoln Saunders and Emberley Saunders.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph.
