She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent Smith and Thelma Smith (Brown); her husband Robert J. Newman; her sister Alice Swyhart; and her niece Dawn Grimm.
She is survived by: her son Robert Newman (Tracy Moore); her grandchildren, Leo Newman and Heidi Newman; her stepdaughters, Linda Schmitt (Pete), Roberta Roberts, Paula Owens (David) and Sheila Gatewood; and her sisters, Betty Grimm, Wanda Dryer and Rita Wade. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
