He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Byrd and Mayme Byrd; his wife Myrna Byrd (Thomas); his son-in-law Michael Brown; his grandson Tristan Quisenberry; his great grandchild Harper Quisenberry; and his siblings, Doris Bohrer, Shirley Tabor, Charles Byrd and Raymond Byrd.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Byrd (Brenda) of Cuba, William Thomas Byrd (Guen) of Uniontown, Ohio, Joyce Byrd Brown (John R.) of Byrnes Mill, Brenda Forrester (David) of Joplin and Cindy Barton (Duane) of Rolla, Missouri; his siblings, Lawrence Byrd and Barbie Byrd of St. James, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Sean Byrd, Robbie Yates, Lisa Yates, Drenda Barnett, Briana Plank, Justin Quisenberry and Cameron Cameron; and his great grandchildren, William Barnett, Iris Barnett, Riley Plank, Tommy Plank, Wyatt Plank, Casey Plank, Katlyn Yates, Lilly Yates, Blake Yates, Maggie Yates, Julianna Yates, Logan Byrd, Liam Quisenberry, Leana Quisenberry and Grason Byrd.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home (200 N Meramec St, St James, MO 65559). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
