With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Marie Alvey of Saint James, Missouri, born in Salem, Missouri, who passed away on March 13, 2024 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Mounce and Julie Mounce (Norris); her husband James Alvey; her children, Linda Burley and Eugene Alvey; and her siblings, Homer, Jimmy Mounce and Ada Gibson.
She is survived by: her brother Robert Mounce (Dolly) of St. James, MO; her grandchildren, Amanda Terrill (Blake) of St. James, MO and Sean Barber (Tatum) of St. James, MO; and her great grandchildren, Kameron Barber, Kyler Barber, Kaylan Barber, Karson Barber, Halle Terrill and Sophia Terrill. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Asher Cemetery, cards are available at all James & Gahr locations.
