It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Murl Franklin Martin of Saint James, Missouri, who passed away on April 18, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Martin and Velma Martin (Barnett); and his great grandchild Shelby Kurtti. He is survived by: his wife Louise Martin; his children, Jeanie Martin (Laurie Howell) of Waynesville, MO and Orville Martin (Brenda) of St. James, MO; his grandchildren, Dawn Kurtti, Melissa Coffey, Tristan Martin and Paige Brown (Brett SR); his great grandchildren, Dakota Kurtti, Austin Kurtti, Clayton Coffey, Dom Eikermann, Olivia West, Brett Brown Jr. and Autumm Brown; his brother Bill Martin (Wanda) of Gray Summit, MO; and his sister-in-law Sue Moreland (Joe). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the James & Gahr Mortuary - St. James (117 N Seymour St, St James, MO 65559). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Vienna Public Cemetery.
