He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Chilton and Effie Chilton (Wolfe); his siblings, Bill, Bob, Lee, Marvin, Everett, Alfred Chilton, Sarah and Edith Chilton; his granddaughter Crystal; and his great grandchild Joshua.

He is survived by: his wife Annette Chilton of St. James, MO; his children, Donald Stuart Jr., John Stuart of St. James, MO, Gail Martin (Jerrold) of Cuba, MO and Susan Stuart of St. James, MO; and his grandchildren, Michelle, Brian, Jennifer, Tim, Tara, Sara, Christina, Kerri, Brandon Michael and Trinity. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the Veterans Home of St. James MO.
