He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Brophy and Henrietta Brophy (Safford); and his siblings, Victor Brophy and Marie Welch. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Brophy of St. James, Missouri; his children, Ruth Bethka (John) of Anchorage, Janet Brophy of North Hampton, Mark Brophy (Leslie) of North Hampton and Susan O'Connell (Jim) of York, Maine; his stepchildren, Bruce Struemph (Mechele) of Vienna, Judy Lankford (Del) of Bartlesville, Annette Colvard (Brian) of Vinita and Chris Struemph (Sarah) of Jefferson City, Missouri; and his brother Roger Brophy (Bobbie) of Palmer, Alaska. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
