It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Edna Matlock of Saint James, Missouri, who passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Barnett and Edna Stender Barnett; her husband Melvin Thomas Matlock II; her siblings, Ed Barnett, Wilburn Barnett, Delbert Barnett, Jesse Barnett and Roxie Gray; and her half-sister Judy Earls.
She is survived by: her sons, Melvin Thomas Matlock III (Libby), Joseph Raymond Matlock and Dave Barnett (Kellie); her grandchildren, Timothy Barnett, David Barnett, Amanda Daly (Barnett), Tyler Matlock and Gabriel Matlock; her siblings, Delman Barnett (Lynda), Velda Kossut (Gene) of St. James, MO, Ronnie Barnett (Shawna) and Geraldine Barnett (Kathy Wills) of Rolla, MO; and her sister-in-law Jakie Barnett (Pat Dressendofer). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
