It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John S. Vogelgesang of Saint Clair, Missouri, who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Vogelgesang and Willetta Vogelgesang; and his sister Charlotte Hagedorn (Virgil). He is survived by: his wife Ida Vogelgesang (Barg) of St. Clair; his children, Jill Brueggemann (John) of St. Clair, Jeff Vogelgesang (Tina) of St. Clair, Laurie Walsh (John) of Washington and Aaron Sovereign (Brenda) of Norfolk, NE; his siblings, Leonard Vogelgesang (Sheila), Ben Vogelgesang (Marty) and Gene Vogelgesang (Jan); his grandchildren, Ashton Schultz (Jeremy), Brooke Vogelgesang, Paige Vogelgesang, Paiton Vogelgesang, Jaiden Vogelgesang, Brittany Walsh, Trey Walsh, Bryce Sovereign (Allison) and Alexis Sovereign; and his great grandchildren, Willow and Hudson. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 204 Commercial Ave, St Clair, MO 63077.
