He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Lewis Sherrell and Caroline Sherrell; and his siblings, Fred, Wendell Sherrell, Judy Heinlein (Susan Ford) and Lauren Lashley.
He is survived by: his wife Billie Sherrell of St. Clair, MO; his children, Vickie Lashley (Steven) of Hillsboro, MO, John Sherrell, Jr. of St. Clair, MO and Valerie O'Daniel (Robert) of St. Clair, MO; his siblings, James Sherrell (Sue) of Union, MO, Wayne Sherrell (Judy) of Cedar Hill, MO, Raymond Sherrell (Donna) of Cedar Hill, MO, Jené Sherrell of Nashville, TN, Mary Drennon of House Springs, MO, Linda Diekmann of Eureka, MO, Laura Hyde of Flippen, AR, Lela Ege (Eric) of Oakville, MO and Loraine Rose (Todd) of Benton, AR; and his grandchildren, Wendy Lashley (Parrick Grove), Scott Lashley, Erica Huskey (Kyle), Sarah O'Daniel-Tate (Jacob) and Shawn O'Daniel. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
