It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo Cothern of Saint Clair, Missouri, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Yates and Ollie Yates (Ross); her former husband John William Bunyard; her husband Raymon Loyd Cothern; her son Raymon II; and her siblings, Leroy Yates and Mary Ann Cayton.
She is survived by: her children, Roy Cothern of Imperial, Matt Cothern (Helena) of St. Clair, Dale Bunyard (Theresa) of Williamsville, Doug Bunyard of St. Clair and Sherri Mabrey (Ron) of DeSoto; her brother Bob Yates; her sisters-in-law, Igeana and Geneva; and her friend Juanita Melton. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Clair Assembly of God Church (255 Crescent Lake Rd, St Clair, MO 63077). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Carson Hill Cemetery.
