She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Overmann and Estelle Overmann; and her brothers, William Overmann, Richard Overmann and Mark Overmann.

She is survived by: her husband Stuart Merchant; her children, James H. Hirbe (Mary), Paul J. Hirbe (Lisa), Mary J. Hauser (Gary), Debra L. Moss (Jeff), Christine L. Merchant and Robert L. Merchant (Maureen); and her sister Carolyn Southard.
