She is survived by: her spouse Guenther Walter Holzwarth; her sons, Michael Holzwarth (Dorothy) and Robert Holzwarth (Stacey); her sisters, Marianne Schenk and Elfriede Schenk; her grandchildren, Ashley Schaefer (Todd), Leah Holzwarth, Lauren Holzwarth and Emily Holzwarth; and her great grandchildren, Korbin, Kennedy, Karson and Krew Schaefer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Memorials may be made in Rita's name to Shriners Hospital.
