He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Nelson and Stella Nelson (Plowman); and his siblings, Lester, Richard, Brenda and Ronald Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Nelson; his children, David Barstad, Ashley Colboth (Jim), Justin Nelson (Kim) and Jason Nelson (Jessica); his grandchildren, Janate Colboth, Hayden Colboth, Liam Morales and Leo Nelson; and his siblings, Ralph Plowman (Nedria), Harry Nelson (Mariam) and Sandy Ruegg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
