Though Joseph may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael McCarthy and Helen McCarthy; his siblings, Tom McCarthy and Anne Hussey; and his granddaughter Virginia Rose McCarthy.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen McCarthy; his sons, Tim McCarthy (Joy Orteza) and Brian McCarthy; and his sister Julie Sinovich (George).

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (221 1st Capitol Dr, St Charles, MO 63301-0652). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
