James B. Gerdes Obituary

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Victor Gerdes and Helen Gerdes; his children, Laura Shambro (Ken), Jim Jr. Gerdes (Teresa), Tracy Spinaio and Katie Rogers (Chris); his grandchildren, Alli Coiro (Vince), Brian Shambro (Chrissy), Maria Graham (Mike), Libby, James III, John Gerdes, Joey, Vincent, Dominic Spinaio, Jack, Faith and Grace Rogers; his great-grandparents, G. Jim, Louis, Ambrose, James, Coiro and Theodore Graham; his sister Vickie Kueny (Bill); his cousin Mike Millaway (Debbie); his uncle Herman Dubbert; and his aunt Dorothy Millaway.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Collier's Funeral Home (3400 N Lindbergh Blvd, St Ann, MO 63074-2103). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Holy Spirit Church (3130 Parkwood Ln, Maryland Heights, MO 63043). A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the St. Philippine Cemetery (4057 Towers Rd, St Charles, MO 63304).
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to CBC High School or the Christian Brothers of the Midwest in Jim's memory.
