She was predeceased by: her husband James Mossinghoff; her parents, Walter Hixson and Erin "Pat" Hixson; her siblings, Doug Hixson (Donna), Barb Anzalone (Gordon) and James Hixson; and her granddaughter Lilly Mossinghoff.
She is survived by: her brother Charlie Hixson (Sue); her children, Curtis Mossinghoff, Donna Mossinghoff, Thomas Mossinghoff (Jill) and Adored; her grandchildren, Nicholas Mossinghoff (Christian), Kaitlyn Mossinghoff, Molly Mossinghoff, Brendan Wendt and Owen Garrett; and her great grandchildren, Landon, Ezekiel, Brice and Joey-Jean Mossinghoff.
Memorials may be made in Erin's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
