She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph V. Stanley; her parents, Alfred Smith and Myrtle Smith; and her siblings, Bernard Smith (Margaret) and Doris Lee Messersmith.
She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Poeppelmeier (David).
