He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Joseph Shupp and Verlo Dorothy Shupp; his son Brett Shupp; and his sister Debbie Crawford. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Shupp; his children, Jason Shupp (Jamie) and Courtney VanderPol (Ryan); his grandchildren, Chandler Shupp (Mallory), Kiara Oltman (Jordan), Riley VanderPol, Trinity VanderPol and Miles Shupp; and his great grandchildren, Raelynn Shupp, Kinsley and Kennedy Oltman. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
