He was predeceased by: his former wife DeEtta Burney; his parents, Ralph Aaron Burney and Beulah A. Burney; and his sisters, Lola Perryman and Shirley Purnell.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Carr-Burney; his sons, David R. Burney, Jr. and Jim Carr (Reva); his grandchildren, Laura Lanham and Tracy Reeves; his siblings, Donny Burney (Penny) and Marceda Harris; and his nephew Willard Perryman. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO 63376). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Marshfield City Cemetery (627 S White Oak Rd, Marshfield, MO 65706).
