He is survived by: his wife Carol Smith; his children, Janice Harrison (Brian), Steven Smith and Stacia Gwaltney (Chris); his grandchildren, Shannon Bromley (Jason), Kathryn "Nicki" Seddon (Daniel), Ian Smith, Caroline Smith, Madalyn Gwaltney, Katelyn Gwaltney and Allen Gwaltney; his great grandchildren, Jacqueline Bromley, Josephine Bromley and Rhett Seddon; and his brother Don Smith (Fran Clem).
