With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betsy Rude of Saint Charles, Missouri, born in Sullivan, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Betsy left this world on July 29, 2024 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Warren Branstetter and Vollie Branstetter (Ashcraft); her husband Charles H. Rude, Jr.; her parents-in-law, Charles H. Rude, Sr. and Cara Dora Rude; and her brother-in-law William "Bill" Culbreth.
She is survived by: her daughters, Charlene Smith (Steve) of Cottleville and Linda Mijal (Phil) of The Villages, Florida; her grandchildren, Jennifer Moll of Bridgeton and Chris Smith (Rachel) of St. Charles; her great grandchildren, Hesleigh and Raegan Smith; her sister-in-law Marlyn Culbreth; and her nieces, Dana Waggoner and Kelly Culbreth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to Betsy's Family.
