He was predeceased by: his brothers, Jimmy, Jerry, Larry and Jim. He is survived by: his wife Linda Stapleton; his children, Jennifer Scarbough of Baldwin and Jack Stapleton (Kim) of Saginaw, Missouri; and his siblings, David Stapleton of Carl Junction, Missouri, Blinda Asbell of Webb City, Cheryl Sparlin of Joplin and Carroll Smith of Carl Junction. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
