Verna Adwell Rhodes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna Adwell Rhodes (Russellville, Missouri), who passed away on April 16, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl B. Adwell and Edna Adwell (Slagle); and her siblings, Earl Laverne Adwell and Connie Madden. She is survived by: her husband V. James Rhodes; her children, Robin Motta of Paola, Kansas, Marshall Rhodes of Clermont, Florida and Sarabeth Rhodes of Columbia; her grandson Joshua Motta of San Francisco, California; and her children, Mallory Motta Roberts of Prosper, Texas and Jacob Motta of Columbia. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; a nephew; several nieces; cousins; and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Verna Adwell Rhodes Endowed Chair in Nursing at the University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing.
