He was predeceased by: his son Chad Amos; and his brother Tony Sherwood. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Jane; his sons, Brad Vines (Sheryl) and Jerry Flowers (Shannon); his parent Hayden Henderson; his daughter Tammie; his brother Patrick Sherwood (Patricia); and his grandchildren, Brandon Vines, Ashley Vines, Scotty Crosby, Regina Flowers, Trent Curtis and Jake Flowers.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church - Russellville (8435 Mt Olive Rd, Russellville, MO 65074). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Disabled American Veterans (5054 Monticello Road Jefferson City, MO, 65109), a cause close to Michael's heart.
