He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Ramer and Martha M. Ramer; his granddaughter Sheila Joann Shirk; his great grandchild Lyndon Brice Ramer; his siblings, Margret Ramer, Vera Martin, Lawrence and John Ramer; and his sister-in-law Lydia Ann Ramer.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine B. Kilmer; his children, Edwin (Esther Mae) of Gorin, James (Rosann) of High Point, Russell (Joyce) of High Point, Lloyd (Edna) of Rutledge, Delores Shirk (Wayne) of Centertown, Annetta Weaver (Gerald) of Versailles, Sarah Ann Martin (Jerry) of Stover, Steven (Lisa) of High Point, John Allen (Norma) of High Point and Michael (Reba) of High Point, Missouri; his siblings, Grace Martin (Enos) of Nappannee, Iva Martin (Jason) of Wakarusa, Indiana, Elmer (Esther) of Carson City, Morris (Elsie) of Syracuse and Dana of Elkhart, Indiana; and his siblings-in-law, Rachel Ramer of Wakarusa, Anna Ramer of Goshen, Indiana and Henry Martin of Ionia, Iowa.. He is also survived by 71 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren.
