He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin John and Marcelline Christine Raithel (Stratman); and his wife Linda Sue Korte. He is survived by: his sons, Nick Raithel (Cindy) and Brandon Raithel (Courtney); his grandchildren, Emma Raithel, Henry Raithel, Kaden Hodges and Tucker Raithel; and his siblings, Emily Raithel, Doug Raithel (Debbie), Kevin Raithel, Christine Gerstner (Rocky Mount), Brenda Weidinger (Joe) and Carl Raithel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
