He was predeceased by: his parents, Webster Matheis and Florence Matheis (Lehr); and his brothers, Larry and Wayne Matheis. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Matheis; his sons, Stephen Matheis (Cindy) and Neal Matheis (Karen); his grandchildren, Darah Scott (Andy), Quintin Matheis, Macy Whittenberg (Steven), Mackenzie Maggard (Ryan) and Sam Matheis; his great grandchildren, Addison Porter, Zoey Whittenberg, Luke Maggard and Addilynn Scott; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Green, Bob Cantwell (Jackie) and Tom Cantwell (Laura).
