He is survived by: his children, Kristi Shields and Doug Platter (Cindy); the mother of his children Karen Platter; his grandchildren, Brian Shields (Catlin), Katelyn Raithel (Seth) and Jarod Steinbeck; his sister Shirley Goldammer; and his friend Sharon Distler.
