She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Delois and Lionel "Dollie" Pummell; her husband Francis Smith; her children, Lenetta Decker, Valerie Decker, Robert Smith and Joyce Taylor; and her brothers, Ellis Sr., Donald, Richard and Randolph Pummell.
She is survived by: her children, Dollie Haywood of St Joseph, Laurie Billington (Paul) of St. Joseph, Melonie Decker of St. Joseph, Betheen Weems (Mike) of Rushville, MO, Estella Ferguson (Gerald) of St. Joseph, Katie Smith of Albany, MO, Jonathan Smith (Jennifer) of Rushville, MO, Mike Smith (Dana) of Atchison, KS, Richard Smith (Cindy) of St. Joseph, Gary Smith of Rushville, MO and Terry Smith (Valerie) of Union Star, MO; her grandchildren, Dameon, Duane (Jamie), Leonard, Jeremy (Cheryl), Ginger, Lorea (Russ), Richarda, Matthew, Misty (Chris), Edwin, Clinton (Denise), Jesse (Madison), Athena, Valerie (Chris), Aaron (Sierra), Amber (Eric), Brent, Dillon, Destiney, Shane and Shawn (Shelby); and her brother Leon Pummell (Gayle) of Mammoth Spring, AR.. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and step-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (6054 Pryor Ave, St Joseph, MO 64504). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are requested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans.
