He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Loren and Emma Kier (Wilkerson); his wife Shirlene Deason; his child Donita Hamm; and his siblings, Harry Blizzard and Susie Mae Jennings.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Kier, Jimmy Kier (ZoAnn), Tommi Herbster (Steve) of King City, MO and Terri Singleton (Tony) of Rosendale, MO; his stepchildren, Johnny Long (Carmen) of Rosendale and Brenda Howell (Scott) of Savannah; and his brother Dean Kier (Shirley) of Dearborn, MO. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
