He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Prewett and Clara Prewett (Groover); his wife Oleta Fay Yelton; his siblings, Carl Prewett, Donald Prewett and Joyce Vena; and his son-in-law Ronnie Chasteen.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Chasteen of Salem, MO, Grant Prewett (Leah) of Newburg, MO, Don Prewett (Laura) of Rolla and Vicky Medley (Matt) of Lake Spring, MO; his grandchildren, Sandon Marz, Somer Overshon, Shannon Roach, Erica Holtz, Rebecca Unger, Jessica Boswell, Ryan Prewett, Kristina Prewett, Jeremiah Prewett, Amber Prewett and Stacy Brown; his great grandchildren, Seth, Halle, Abby, Ethan, Alexia, Gracie, Trace, Weston, Barrett, Rowan, Eden, Olive, Thomas, Saige, Libby, Timothy, Landon, Cutter and Coda; and his close friend John D. Hoss of Newburg. He is also survived by other extended family members and many friends.
